The Health Information Technology Certified Manager for Physician Practice (HITCM-PP) Credential validates and document a practice manager’s knowledge and familiarity with those aspects of technology necessary for today’s solo provider and small group physician practices. In this course students will be preparing to, under the supervision of the Health Information Administrator, assist with designing health information systems to oversee, and protect patient
health information data such as symptoms, diagnoses, medical histories, test results, and procedures. Students will be trained in compiling, organizing, maintaining, and protecting confidential medical records, as well as reviewing patient data and medical records for accuracy and quality control. Organizing and maintaining patient data for clinical databases and registries, while tracking patient outcomes for quality assessment purposes to comply with medical, legal,
and ethical standards. Along with entering and maintains information in the electronic medical record (EMR) while monitoring information in the EMR for accuracy.
